ART SOCIETY’S EXHIBITION
The public lectures which are being given this year at the Pioneer Hall in connection with the Otago Art Society's exhibition are attracting interested members of the public in gratifying numbers. Two talks were given on Tuesday and Wednesday, the first by Dr A. H. McLintock on the black and white exhibits, and the second by Mr O. C. Stephens in the form of a demonstration of pottery craft. These each proved educative and interesting. An evening lecture was also given by Mr Gordon Tovey on Wednesday, his subject being “ Children’s Drawings.” Mr R. N. Field will bring the series to conclusion tonight by lecturing on “ Sculpture.” As the exhibition closes on Saturday it is hoped that those who have left their visit to the last week will not fail to see this compi'ehensive collection of New Zealand art work.
