DR McMILLAN’S ANONYMOUS FRIENDS

TO THE EDITOR Sir, —“ Democrat ” speaks of Dr McMillan’s efforts to make things better, while “ Reader ” expresses the opinion that the doctor is a true friend of the working class. But neither of these correspondents gives any information as to what he has accomplished beyond “ always quarrelling with somebody.” I can inform them of one thing which this selfless philanthropist has done. He has taken a prominent part in giving the biggest blow ever given to the principle of collective bargaining, while at the same time he has accepted service under the Social Security Act. I see in this, not a service, but a disservice, not only to the “ workers,” but to the whole community.—l am, etc., Sick of Him.
