VICTORIA LEAGUE
GARDEN PARTY
A delightful afternoon Was spent yesterday by over 200 members who attended the spring garden party held by the Victoria League at the Upper Gardens. - The function was an informal one. and the guests took full advantage of the brilliant sunshine to enjoy the walks through the azalea garden, and the rhododendron dell, which are now a mass of colour. Afternoon tea was served in the kiosk. The function was attended by the Mayor and Mayoress. Mr and Mrs A. H Allen, and by Bishop and/ Mrs Fitchett. Mrs E. • C. Reynolds, president of the league, who received the guests, was presented with a floral posy. Mrs G. Fitzgerald, president of the Young Contingent, was also the recipient of a posy. Members of the Young Contingent' assisted to augment the proceeds which-went to the Victoria League funds, bv the sale of sweets, flowers and V badges.
