SOUTH DUNEDIN SING

The season of community singing, so far as the South Dunedin organisation is concerned, will be concluded on Saturday night, when a special “Victory Sing” will be held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, the proceeds to be given to the fund for the purpose of Christmas parcels for soldiers.* An attractive supporting programme has been arranged, featuring. among others, the Otago Girls’ High School choir. Mr Archie Jones, the Green Island Boys’ Quartet, Dunedin’s “Scarlett O’Hara,” Misses June Holmes and Myrie Hunt, and Master Billie Chambers. The leaders will be Messrs R. McKenzie and Ernie Fish, with Miss Myrie' Hunt as pianist. The mid-week sing will be held as usual to-day, but will not be broadcast. The sing on Saturday will be broadcast through 4YO from 8 to 9 p.m.
