SOUTH DUNEDIN SING

The sing in the Mayfair Theatre next Wednesday has been designated “Country Day,” with the idea of giving country listeners an opportunity of sending in contributions to show their appreciation of the sings and help a worthy cause. The supporting performers will be Miss Ethel Wallace, one of Dunedin’s leading violinists, and Mr Archie Jones, and the leaders will be Messrs R. McKenzie and E. Fish, with Miss Myrie Hunt as pianist. Among the contributions received last Wednesday were:—“Anonymous,” £5; Mr B. Gardiner (Tokarahi), £1; Mrs Walsh (Omakau), £1; “Wellwishers,” 10s 6d; Mrs A. Smith (Henley), 10s; Mr E. R- Klitscher (Purakanui), 19s 6d: C. Middleton (Roslyn), 10s; “Gran,” ss; “Anonymous Listeners,” £1 1.3 s 6d. Socks sent in by a listener were sold for 13s 6d and a Hornby train 10s.
