CAVERSHAM BRANCH

Members of the Caversham League of Mothers spent a delightful afternoon on Wednesday last as guests of Mrs Orr Campbell. After the business of the meeting had been disposed of. afternoon tea was served on the veranda. Mrs J. McCracken voiced the mem•'bers’ appreciation of Mrs Campbell’s hospitality, and presented her with an azalea nlant as a memento of the occasion. Mrs Campbell gave an interesting talk on the various plants and shrubs, and pointed out some beautiful trees which had been planted by Sir Frederick Chapman, who had collected them from various parts of New Zealand.
