WEDDING
Rapson—Cant The wedding was celebrated recently at Columba Presbyterian Church. Oamaru, of Boyd, eldest son of Mi ana Mrs A B. Rapson, of Ngapara, and Linda, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs George Cant, of Ngapara. The Rev. J Fordyce was the officiating minister, and during the signing of the register Mrs R. Millar sang 111 Walk Beside You.” The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a simple gown of cream silk velvet, made with a gathered bodice and a scalloped neckline, matching the train, which was also scalloped. Her long embroidered veil was held in place by two cream gardenias, and she carried a bouquet of cream ionquils and freesias. Miss Rita Cant, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid and wore a dainty frock of pink lace, with a shoul-der-length pink veil, and carried a bouquet to tone. ; , Mr R. Campbell, of Clifton Falls, acted as best man. and Messrs L. H, Cant and I. Rapson were the ushers. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Star and Garter Tea Rooms, and the guests were received by the parents of the bride and bridegroom. Later the hanpy couple left by car foi the north, the bride wearing a grey tailored costume with black accessories.
