GALA DAY AT CARISBROOK Final arrangements for the gala day at Carisbrook to be held by the Provincial Council of Sport on September 27 in aid of the Provincial Patriotic Fund were made at the meeting of that body.last night. It was announced that Mr R. E. Naumann had arranged for 1000 girls to take part in the march past, which, it was stated, would be the largest number to do so in any similar gala m New Zealand. The girls would be led by the Dunedin Highland Pipe Band, and the Kaikorai Band would play during the afternoon.
