CONTROLLER GRANTED LEAVE (0.C.) WELLINGTON. Sept. 16. Mr Scrimgeour applied for leave on account of indisposition and was granted it,” said the Minister in Charge of Broadcasting. Mr D. Wilson, to-day, when he was questioned on the reported illness of the Controller of Commercial Broadcasting, Mr C. G. Scrimgeour, and his absence from Wellington.
While the controller is absent, the service will be directed by Mr Beau Shiel, who was some time ago given leave of absence to make a visit to the United States.
