RELIEF FUND
AIR-RAID DISTRESS IN BRITAIN OTAGO’S QUOTA EXCEEDED The Otago Provincial Patriotic Council’s quota of the £IOO,OOO remitted to London by the National Patriotic Fund Board for the relief of air raid distress in Great Britain was £9300. An appeal for this amount was launched by the Mayor, Mr A. H. Allen, as chairman of the council on July 11. and the objectiye has now been reached, the total amount paid in to the treasurer up to September 10 being £9423 11s sd.
