The Lord will give strength unto His people; the Lord will bless his people with peace, • Great peace have { they love . Thy law” Whom shall ,we trust but Thee, O; Lord?- "■ "-i, ' , Where rest but on Thy faithful ’ vv. toprd? None ever called on Thee in vain: . . Give : peace. O ' God, give / peace again. ' -vv; ;- v - 'We give- thanks to : Thee, p God, that ThoU'hast put it into the hearts of the' President and people" of the United States to join: with, the British Empire in defence of liberty, justice, humanity, and religion. We pray that the victory Of righteousness may be speedily achieved. Be ’pleased to \ shorten'’: the conflict •* that the wastage of life through the carnage of .war may - cease. Enable us this day to dedicate finto Thee purselves. ’jour . souls and bodies, to be a lively sacrifice to show forth our gratitude for Thy abundant blessings, and to advance Thy Kingdom upon; earth.
