The August meeting of the, Dunedin Central branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Uniirn was held on Tuesday,' when Mrs Hiett presided. A report from the Otago Bible-in-schools League was read. The following were elected delegates to the Otago .District Conference, to be held at Green Island on September 16:—Mesdarries Rigby. F. Clark, A. Maxwell. F. Jackson. K. Oowning and Miss Beckingsale. The president read a report from Egypt on the work being done there bv the W.C.T.U.
