FUNDS FOR REHABILITATION

The Auckland Provincial Patriotic Council has arranged to invest £IOO.OOO in keeping with its intention to set aside 80 per cent, of its funds for the rehabilitation of nurses and men after the war. The patriotic funds were augmented recently by a cheque for £IIO,OOO, representing a substantial portion of the total amount collected in the recent Auckland campaign. It has now been decided to lodge £IOO,OOO with the Auckland City Council at call at 1 per cent, until September 1, when the amount will be invested in the Auckland City Council waterworks loan for a period of 30 years at 3J per cent.
