PINE HILL CLUB The annual meeting of the Pine Hill Lawn Tennis Club was held recently in the Pine Hill School, when the president. Mr A. C. Notman, presided over a good attendance of members. Moving the adoption of the annual report, the chairman mentioned that this occasion was the, third annual general meeting of the club, and expressed the hope that the coming season would prove as successful as the preceding ones, in spite of war conditions. Work is in hand for the top-dressing of the courts, and a tentative date for opening day was arranged for September 20. The following officers were elected for the current season:—Patron, Mr D. L. Ritchie; president, Mr P. George; vice-presidents—Messrs A. C. Notman, A. E. Dawson. W G. Jones, A. Qvam; club captain, Mr A. N. Seamer; lion, auditor. Mr G. R. Lawson; hon treasurer. Mr F. S. Mueller; hon. secretary, Miss Rica Thomas; committee— Mrs E. J. Gray, Mrs H. H. Gilligan, Miss N. Buchanan, Messrs B. N. Taylor. E. J. Gray, and H. H. Gilligan.
