SHOPLIFTING CHARGES

PRISON TERM FOR WOMAN (P.A.) HASTINGS, Aug. 26. Five charges of shoplifting between last February and the present month were admitted to-day by Eileen Lily Sly, married, aged 41, before Mr J. Miller, S.M., who sentenced her to a month’s imprisonment on one charge. On the other four counts she was ordered to come up for sentence if called on within six months. The total value of the goods involved was £4 11s sd. The police stated that most of them were stolen from display stands at the doorways of shops.
