PAINTINGS STOLEN

THREE GAINSBOROUGHS NEW YORK, (Rec. 0.5 a.m.) Aug. 12. An insurance company reported that three Gainsboroughs—“ The Blue Boy,” “ Charles the Bold,” and a landscape which -ware insured for 44,000 dollars, were stolen from the apartment of Captain Daniel Sickles, a financier. One of the paintings was cut from the frame and the others were taken, frames and all.
