EXTENSION OF SERVICE LIMITED TO EIGHTEEN MONTHS WASHINGTON, (Rec. 11 p.m.) Aug. 12. The House adopted the 18-months limit on the extension of service for conscripts, national guards and reservists after rejecting various Isolationist moves to limit extension. It remains for the Bill to be voted as a whole, but the voice vote on that section indicates that passage is virtually certain.
