COLUMBA COLLEGE DANCE
A successful function was held on Friday night in Constance Hall, the occasion being the annual Columba College dance. The guests were received by the principal, Miss C. M. Ashworth, who was gowned * in blue georgette beaded with silver, and by Mrs Scott (matron), who wore navy blue and white lace. The hall was attractively decorated to represent an English fair, by means of wall posters and green and white maypoles strung out from the lights A similar scheme of decoration was carried out in the dining hall, where a delightful supper, prepared by the Domestic Science students, was served. , The guests included: Dr and Mrs J R Elder. Dr and Mrs S. F. Hunter, Dr and Mrs V. E. Galway. Mr and Mrs P. S Anderson. Mr and Mrs S. P. Cameron. Mr and Mrs Jas. Hogg, Mr and Mrs N. Y. A. Wales, Mr and Mrs C. W. Wardell, Mr and Mrs Cox. Mr and Mrs T. Holme. Lady Sidey, Mrs McNab, Misses Blackmore, A. Morrell, and M Wallace. Prefects from St. Hildas, Girls’ High School, John McGlashan College, Boys’ High School, and King’s High School were also present.
