WEDDING

Bruce—Reid St. Ninian’s Presbyterian Church, Totara, was beautifully decorated with choice blooms given by friends, when the Rev. H. H. Barton officiated at the marriage of John Alexander, youngest son of Mr and Mrs George Bruce, of Totara, to Mary Helen, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs John Reidj of Alma. The bride wore a short frock of dusky pink jersey sheer, and plumcoloured hat and shoes. The bridesmaids, Miss Ann Bruce, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Joan Reid, niece of the bride, wore matching frocks of blue jersey sheer, with plum-coloured hats and shoes. The bridegroom was attended by Messrs James Bruce and John Reid, jun. A reception was held at “Gibbslea,” the home of the bride’s parents. For travelling, the bride wore a suit in Indian copper tonings with a matching fox fur.
