WAITEMATA SEAT

DECLARATION OF VACANCY A QUESTION SETTLED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 10. A suggestion has been made in Auckland that difficulty might arise in declaring the Waitemata seat vacant solely on the advice that the member for the electorate, Captain W. J. Lyon, has been killed in action. This question, however, has been disposed of, as notification of the death, supported by a formal certificate of death, has ben sent by the Registrar-general to the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Mr W. E. Barnard.
