PACIFIC SHIPPING DISCUSSED AT WASHINGTON (P.A.) ■ WELLINGTON, June 9. Replying to a question to-day as to the activities of the mission to Washington by the Minister of Lands, Mr F. Langstone, and Mr J. G. Coates, a member of the War Cabinet, and also in regard to the visit to Australia of the Minister of National Service, Mr R. Semple, the Acting Prirrfe Minister, Mr W.. Nash, said that the. Gov.ernment was in constant touch with them. One of the subjects dealt with in this way recently with Mr Langstone and Mr Coates was the question of the provision of United States shipping for the Pacific area and its effect on the war effort.
