CONCERT AT ST. LEONARDS

In aid of the " Comforts for Fighters " Fund and under the auspices of the St. Leonards-Burkes Patriotic Committee, an enjoyable concert was held in the King George Hall, St. Leonards, on Thursday. The programme was .arranged by Mrs Newey and items were given by the Ravensbourne League of Mothers' Choir; Mr and Mrs Peter Dawson. Miss Nanna Newey, Miss Irene Scott, Master Billy Mason and Julian Lee, the blind pianist. Mr James Hogg, chairman of the Appeals Committee, of the Otugo Patriotic Council was present and complimented Mrs Newey on her excellent programme, and thanked the people of St. Leonards and Burkes for their splendid response to all patriotic appeals. A dance followed.
