Private A. Calder, who has been spending his leave with his parents, Mr and Mrs J. T. Calder, Stour street, Oamaru, left yesterday for Trentham. Sergeant R. W. Stevenson, who is spending his leave in Oamaru, has been the recipient of several presentations, including one from the stafT of the North Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association, by which firm he was formerly employed as auctioneer, the Auctioneers' Association, and the Oamaru Savage Club, of which he was a prominent member. Mr Hugh Milner. who for the past six years has been resident in the Far East is at present visiting his father. Mr Frank Milner, Waitaki Boys' High School. Mr Hugh Milner was on the editorial staff of the Straits Times, at Singapore, and has recently been residing at Hongkong as representative of various papers, including the London Daily Herald.
