FRUIT MARKETING

"... TO THE EDITOR ... Sir,—"Willie Helpus,".. the retailgreengrocer with a grievance, has much to say, adversely, about the recent appointment to the Internal Marketing branch in Dunedin. Whether the appointee .is the son of a Cabinet Minister or; of a cabby is quite beside the point.. The point is the job that needs doing. I know nothing of the problems of fruit marketing, though the apple assembly rooms in Cumberland street give the impression that the Internal Marketing Division is doing a big and worthwhile job for the bfchardists of this country, but I do know something of egg marketing. I should like " Willie HelDus" and others like him to know that* Mr Sullivan's appointment is welcomed by both the producer and wholesale distributor of eggs and that, with the other officers of his department, Mr Sullivan is assured of the poultry industry's co-operation and goodwill.—l am, etc., T. Gill, Otago-Southland member, N.Z. Poultry Board. Oamaru, May 28. *
