Flagman set the pace in the Levels Hurdles from Donadea and Waka. Dividend was crowded off at the third hurdle. Donadea joined Flagman coming round the top, with Green Boa next. In the run home Green Boa came on and won by three lengths from Donadea, who beat Waka by two lengths. Flagman was a head away fourth. • . Claremoni Handicap Music Hall was first to show in the Claremont Hack Handicap, but Jolly Time and Hurry Girl led him round the top with Irish Lass next. Hurry Girl took charge in the straight and won by two lengths from Treasurer, who beat Eulogisl by two lengths On Call was a length away, with Roman Son, Irish Lass. Mush Hall and Jolly Time next. Hurry Girl was 21 at the barrier and paid a good dividend. Eulogist was 20 and came witi, a late run The favourite. Lady Derby drew 17. Elloughton Handicap Cymric and Royal Lancer led out ol the straight in the Elloughton Handicap and were attended along the back by The Wrecker. Master Hotspur led Density to the straight with Rawhamai and Gold Flight. Master Hotspur was in charge at the distance, but faded, and Gold Flight., staying on. beat i him by a length. Then in line came Rawhamai, Secret Flight, Stabilise, and Rebel Mat*.

Opilu Trot Warform took charge in the Opihi Trot, and led along the back from Catalpa and Swagger Jack. Catalpa led round the top and came on to win by two lengths from Swagger Jack, who beat Special Agent by two lengths. Canister was four lengths away, with Technique and Scrapeum next. Beaconsfield Trot Trevathan led Great Waitaki. Loyal Friend. Misdeal, and Lisette passing the stand. Trevathan broke up. and Loyal Friend Scapa Flow, and Braw Lass was the order going to the far turn Into the straight Loyal Friend retained the leadership and won well by a length from Scapa Flow, who beat Braw Lass by three lengths. Black Label was a head away.
