STOPPAGE AT LIVERPOOL (P.A.) GREYMOUTH, May 14. The Liverpool State mine was idle to-day following stop-work meetings held to consider the case of non-ex-perienccd men being re-engaged as miners. The union claims the men should await their turn, in the meantime being employed as truckers. The meetings were held in the employers’ time. The management urged the’resumption of work, but the men went home.
