ST. KILDA BOROUGH AFFAIRS

TO THE EDITOR Sir—ln your issue of Tuesday last appeared a long letter on St. Hilda affairs complimenting the council on its administration, but not a word about the Mayor’s work. Has he been only a passenger? I have a recollection of him being responsible for St. Hilda getting 12 or 15 additional lights without extra cost to the borough. He certainly did good work in improving the parks. He has not spared himself in representing St. Hilda on the various patriotic associations. The borough is honoured in having as Mayor a man of such extensive municipal experience, and I trust the electors will show their appreciation by again returning him to the office of Mayor—l am, etc^ Admirer. Musselburgh, May 14.
