A MOTOR COLLISION TWO MEN IN HOSPITAL (Special! BALCLUTHA, May 12. A motcr accident occurred near Clinton last evening as a result of which two men named Bert Dawson and Onsley Green, employed at Mataura freezing works, were taken to the Balclutha Hospital. paws° n who is a married man. is On the dangerously'ill list, suffering from serious head injuries. Green, a single man, was unconscicus when admitted m hospital, but has regained consciousness and appears to be suffering principally from shock. The men, both of whom belong to Dunedin, had been home for the week-end and were on their way back to Mataura riding a motor cycle, when a collision occurred with a taxi. MAN FOUND DEAD (PAj HASTINGS, May 12. The body of Leonard De Vere Brooks, a middle-aged man. was found in an upstairs room at the rear of his business premises in Hcretaunga street this morning. He had conducted a toilet saloon for several years. An assistant found the body in the room into which a gas tube had been led.
