DOMINION’S SURPLUS PROBLEM OF SHIPPING (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 12. A cablegram from the New York correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that Mr William Goodfellow, managing director,of Amalgamated Dairies, Auckland, stated that 40 per cent, of the ships carrying New Zealand dairy products to England have been sunk, causing food to accumulate in hjew Zealand. Mr Goodfellow, who is flying to London in an endeavour to obtain shipping space for surplus New Zealand primary products, said that 20 ships with refrigerated space would relieve the position.
