While certain parts of the North Island of New Zealand have been “enjoying ” one of the biggest floods ever experienced, the latest mail from Sydney brings information that the city and suburbs are again in the grip of a severe drought. In order to conserve supplies the watering of private gardens is reduced to a minimum, and is confined to hoses held in the ham} or watering-cans fitted with “ roses.”
