MANCHESTER UNITY

The meeting of Loyal Hand and Heart Lodge was presided over bv N.G. Bro. Niven, P.P.G.M. Bro. J. M. F. Hamel delivered the Anzac address, and members later observed a minute's silence, preceded by the rendition of the, war ritual.

Princess Mary Lodge held a short meeting on Tuesday evening, as officers were desirous of attending the official visit to Loyal Mosgicl Lodge. Customary toasts were honoured and received by visiting members.

The official visit to Loyal Mosgicl Lodge was attended by 40” members, representing city lodges, together with a full attendance of local brethren and representatives of the district executive. Some alterations were made in the hand book syllabus. These will be advertised in due course. A number of past officers are taking the place of those on active service. N.G. Bro. Frank Parker presided over the meeting of Loyal Albion Lodge. Members were advised to retain their lodge membership until such time as it was definitely known where they stood in regard to social security benefits. Tire guests of the evening were members of Loyal Pioneer Lodge, 1.0.0. F. The lodge was advised that Bro. G. R. Hopkins had been wounded while on active service. Sympathy was expressed by brethren of the lodge.
