THE CANADIAN PEOPLE MR MENZIES IMPRESSED (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) TORONTO, May 9. Mr R. G. Menzies told the press that he was convinced that the North American Continent could do more than any other part of tht world to overtake Germany's enormous superiority in material, which was the enemy's only superiority " I have been very much struck by the unity of purpose among the Canadian people and their jnthusiasm for the war effort." said Mr Menzies "As far as 1 can see. everything possible is being done ;o aid Britain, and it is being done with increasing speed."
