OLD-TIME DANCE

It was a happy crowd that attended the weekly dance in the Early Settlers' Hall on Saturday night, and all entered with zest into the spirit of the old-time dances. The music provided by J. McCaw's Commodores and Mitchell's Savionettes was a that could be desired. Lucky spot dances, for which novelty prizes were presented, were much enjoyed. Great interest was taken in the waltzing competition, and more than a dozen couples entered. The judge. Mr J. Clifford, placed Miss Hutchison and Mr Ledgerwood first. Miss Bennett and Mr Stokes' second, and Mrs Brown and Mr Lew Hall third.
