CREAM OF TARTAR SUBSTITUTE Bakers and pastrycooks will be relieved to learn that reasonable quantities of cream of tartar substitute, packed in New Zealand, are now coming to hand regularly. It Is also announced that supplies of cream of tartar substitute can be obtained from Australia. New Season’s Honey New season’s honey, in lib and 21b pottles and 51b and 101 b pails, is now coming to hand. The price is practically the same as that ruling at this time last year. Sugar Supplies The position as regards supplies of sugar locally continues quite satisfactory. Evaporated Apricots A small parcel of Roxburgh packed evaporated apricots arrived during the week. The fruit was in excellent condition. Coal Tar Soap A line of Wright’s coal tar soap, which is now being manufactured in New Zealand, has made an appearance on the market. Cashew Kernels The shipment of Indian cashew kernels, which was mentioned as being on the way to New Zealand, has now reached the market. Jams New season’s raspberry Jam and raspberry and apple jam, packed in Christchurch, are now available. Peaches and Pears The quotations for the new pack of canned peaches and pears have now been issued. Prices are unchanged from those ruling at this time last year.
