ARREST AT SEA

PRISONER RECAPTURED TRIP IN STOLEN YACHT (Peb United Press Association) GISBORNE, Feb. 11. , The prisoner who escaped from the Limited express between Frankton and Te Awamutu on the night of January 31 and was reported on Saturday to have disappeared in a yacht stolen from Mount Maunganui on Monday, was recaptured off the coast near Ruatoria early this morning. The prisoner is Richard Humphreys, aged 22.

A vessel answering the description of the missing yacht was first seen off the coast five miles north of Ruatoria, and Humphreys was later arrested by Constable J. W. Birch and brought to Gisborne.
