SUPREME COURT

PRISONERS SENTENCED (Per United Press Association WELLINGTON, Feb. 11. Several prisoners came before Mr Justice Johnston in the Supreme Court to-day for sentence. Leo Sylvester Hannon was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment on each of six charges of breaking and entering and theft at Wellington in August. September, and October last. Richard Katene, cheese factory hand, aged 21, for unlawfully entering a dwelling in Taranaki by night with intent to commit a crime was admitted to probation for 12 months and ordered to take out a prohibition order against himself. Donald James Jones, a labourer and seaman, aged 22, was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment on each of four charges of breaking and entering and theft at Wellington, the sentences to be concurrent.
