Wheat Shortage in Eire A message from Dublin states that Dr James Ryan, the Minister of Agriculture in a speech, said: "Eire is faced with a shortage of wheat, and mu-=t devote a further 500.000 acres to wheat-growing. Another additional 500,000 acres are needed for growing feeding stuffs in order to meet the shortage which threatens to occur in June, July, and August."
