(Received Jan. 14, at 7.p.ni;) The Secretary of the Treasury, Mr Henry Morgenthau, announced thai the British were negotiating with American investment' trusts on the question of the possible liquidation of Brit-ish-owned direct investments in the United States. Mr Morgenthau said that one large group: 'was-.ready to buy ; all British direct investments, and the subject would be..- discussed to-morrow with another.grpup; He said;he*had already communicated the proposals to the Under-Secretary, of the ..
