ESCAPE FROM HOSPITAL

EXTRA TERM FOR PRISONER (Pes United Press association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 13. For escaping from the Wellington Hospital while receiving treatment during a prison sentence. Hugh Matheson, aged 39, a seaman, was given another six months’ imprisonment with hard labour by Mr J, L. Stout. S.M.. to-day. Matheson pleaded guilty to the charge and also to stealing clothing and money valued at £2 17s lOd, a suit valued at £6 10s, and a shirt valued at 8s 6d. At the time he was serving a sentence of 12 months for breaking and entering.
