PRAISE FOR NEW ZEALAND SCHOOLS CONTRAST WITH AMERICA (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, Dec. 27. Praise for the standard of education received in New Zealand schools was expressed by Mr Byron E. Mills, assistant manager of the Atlantic Union Oil Company at Wellington, who returned to-day by the Mariposa from a seven months' visit to the United States and Canada. . _ Mr Mills said that his children, who went to school at Wellington, were sent to school in America during their visit, and they jumped a full form and then finished up their period at school at the top of their classes. "This says a lot for New Zealand schools" said Mr Mills, who was born in the United States. "The American teachers were full of praise for the work my children did. They were sorry to 'see them leave, and regarded them as their prize pupils. Among other things, they said that both children spoke correctly." Mr Mills also mentioned how his father, who was born in Canada 94 years ago. but had lived for 72 years in the United States, still gave his loyalties to Great Britain. He was auite sure that Britain would not lose this war, Mr Mills said.
