CHRISTMAS PAIRS ANNUAL TOURNEY CONCLUDED WON BY ANDERSON'S BAY The Dunedin Bowling Centre's Christmas Pairs Tournament was concluded yesterday, the Anderson's Bay pair. P. Bell and J. Marshall, taking the honours by beating W. Adamson and J. W. Thomas (Roslyn) in the final by 22 points to 14. The players were favoured by glorious weather, and the Caledonian Green, on which all of yesterday's games were played, was in perfect order.

After three rounds of post-section play. Thomas met A. W. Macdonald (Balmacewen) in the semi-final, and Marshall played W. Cuff (Milton), both winning their games fairly easily. The final game, which was notable for some fine drawing by all four players, was fairly even for the first 11 heads, and when they went up to. play the twelfth, the scores read 9—7 in Marshall's favour. The Anderson's Bay pair put on another eight in the next four heads, making their score 17 to Roslyn's 8, but Thomas replied with a six on the seventeenth, so that with three heads to go he was only three down.
