FIRE DAMAGES DWELLING

Fire caused by a defective chimney slightly damaged a floor and wall upstairs in a five-roomed, two-storey brick and wood dwelling with shop attached at 424 King street yesterday afternoon. The City Fire Brigade was called out at 12.55. At 2.39 and 6.6 malicious false alarms to College street. Caversham. and the corner of Havelock street and Eglinton road respectively were answered.
