CIVIC AMENITIES

■/TO THE EDITOR

Sir.—l heartily endorse the letter by “Crutches” in regard to the lack of a bandstand in Queen’s Gardens, and also of seats at the Oval and Logan Park recreation grounds. Seeing money can be raised for war so easily, surely the welfare and comfort of those left behind should be considered. Therefore countless people would be grateful for these additions to the attractions of our city. Nor should we forget a shelter over the one lonely seat on the outskirts of Logan Park—l am. etc..

D. Mclnnes. Ravensbourne. November 3.
