CRICKET GROUNDS

ALLOCATION OF WICKETS USUAL CHARGE IMPOSED Forty-seven wickets have been k allocated to cricket organisations and clubs by the Reserves Committee of the City Council. This is shown in the report of the committee to come before the council at its meeting on Monday night. Wickets have been allotted as follows;—Otago Cricket Association. 15 wickets: Otago Boys’ Cricket Association, 7 wickets: Otago Cricket League, 14 wickets; Otago Women’s Cricket Association, 5 wickets; sundry unaffiliated clubs. 6 wickets; total, 47 wickets. In addition, the Otago Women's Baseball Association has been allotted the use of the Robin Hood ground for matches, and the south corner of the Oval for practice purposes. No charge will be made for these areas. The Oval area will be used in the evenings and not on Saturdays. The charges for the various wickets will be as hitherto, viz:—No. 1 ground, Tonga Park. £2O. and No. I ground. Logan Park. £10; other grounds £0 5s a wicket. The Otago Women’s Cricket Association will be charged £1 6s 3d a wicket, while the unaffiiiated clubs will pay £3 2s 6d a wicket, No charge will be made to the Otago Boys’ Cricket Association. In addition, the Otago Cricket League nays an amount of £7 10s for the use of the pavilion on the Princes street side of the Oval and the Women’s Cricket. Association pays £2 10s for the use of the pavilion on the Anderson's Bay side of the Oval.
