EXCESSIVE PRICE CHARGED FIVE FIRMS CONVICTED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 18. Fines of £lO each were to-day imposed on the wholesale paper merchants, Wiggins, . Teape and Alex. Pirie Export. Ltd.. Gordon and Gotch, B. J. Ball (N.Z.), Ltd., John Dickinson and Co., and Alex. Cowan and Sons, which were charged with selling paper and stationery in excess of the authorised price. “When we have a law which prohibits. then that law cannot be broken except under a heavy penalty.” said Mr Luxford, S.M.
