COLD AND CHANGEABLE Forecast (or Otago.— The following official , weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.iri. yesterday by the ' Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Fresh south-westerly winds. Dominion Forecast. —An anti-cyclone is still located in the north, while the last of the recent series of westerly de ■ , pressions is approaching across the south Tasman Sea. Weather: Intermittent rain probable in western and southern districts of the South Island and scattered falls extending later to Canterbury, Wellington and Taranaki, otherwise fair. Temperatures continuing mild, in the north, but becoming colder in the south, with the southwesterly change. Weather in Dunedin. —Cool temperatures were experienced yesterday and a light north-east breeze prevailed. The maximum) temperature was 54 degrees and the barometer fell to 29.75 inches (1007 millibars) at midnight.
