PARCELS FOR THE TROOPS

TO THE EDITOR Sir, —Yesterday I received a letter from my son, a private in the First Echelon in Egypt, in which he told of a parcel he had just had handed to him from Otago. He gave a list of the contents, and concluded: “ I think that was a great selection, don’t you?” He also said how much the boys appreciated these parcels, and what a great difference they made to camp life. I wish to thank those people who sent them and would be pleased if you would, through your paper, thank them for me.—l am, etc., Edith Watson, Walton, Waikato. October 13.
