TAIERI SWIMMING CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING The fifth annual meeting of the Taieri Swimming Club was held at Mosgiel, Mr W. Muirhead presiding Moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, Mr Muirhead referred to the progress made by members in competitive swimming during the past season, and also to the club’s satisfactory financial position. The following officers were elected: —Patron. Mr L. C. Hazlelt; president, Mr W, N. Muirhead: senior vice-presi-dent. Mr J. F. McCarthy; vice-presi-dents—Dr J. Spedding, Mrs Turnbull. Messrs W. P. Hartstonge, W. S, Scott. M. Walker, R. Holland. F. Cheyne. J. Henderson, J. J. Thomson, A Feather, J. P. O’Brien, I. Pringle, E. JMason, R. Campbell and C. Pilling: secretary, Mr C. G. Lucas: treasurer. Mr B. T. Wilkins; auditor, Mr C. Pilling; handicapper and starter, Mr D. Reid; delegates to Otago Centre, Messrs A. Feather and C. G. Lucas: committee —Mrs Lucas. Miss R. Johnstone. Messrs A. Feather. D. Wallace and K. Frew The meeting placed on record the valuable services rendered to the dun by the retiring senior vice-president. Mr W. S. Scott, who was unable to accept office for the coming season
