Special trains took many visitors to Palmerston North recently to sec the cherry blossoms on the Esplanade. Some 700 people took advantage of special bus concessions, an*' all the afternoon there was a stream of motor traffic. Hundreds of people strolled through the labyrinth of cool pathways. The City Silver Band gave a programme of music which was warmly received.
