POISON GAS
EARLY USE EXPECTED HITLER ENRAGED AT R.A.F. SUCCESS WASHINGTON, Oct. 13. Mr William Simms, foreign editor of the Scripps-Howard chain of papers, says that information has reached Washington that Germany is on the point of using gas against London. Hitler is enraged at the success of the Royal Air Force bombardment of troop concentrations and war material, and civilians are taking the constant raids on German cities badly. In addition, the High Command is faced with high fuel consumption, and needs a quick decision
j Gas factories have been working ! at full capacity for several months.. I but the types of gas are basically j unchanged since the last war.
